Daycare
Have you ever wondered why a dog comes off as aggressive, even when they have never had an interaction with another dog? Just like humans, dogs must be taught and shown how to socialize - a standard used in a dogs overall health. A dog who has been socialized will be less likely to have other behavior problems. Daycare provides excellent mental stimulation and keeps your pup from getting bored. The exercise they receive is unparalleled compared to sitting in a cage at home while waiting for you.
In bigger and more expensive facilities, the level of care gets diluted. If a staff member is assigned to a room with 30 dogs, they might not be able to keep your dog safe, even though they may be present. Dog fights in a room with that many dogs usually turn into dog brawls. The staff member calls a code and then the entire staff react as a whole. This is standard industry practice! At CMC, our staff to dog ratio never exceeds 3:1. We have two huskies in home, so our daycare slots are limited - Only 4 each day! All of our clients are thoroughly vetted and hand selected to ensure the best possible atmosphere for the pups at all times. We can also accommodate older dogs or dogs with special needs who may not like to play as much as they used to.
